Ica, August 23 and 24, 2022.- The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MINJUSDH) carried out extensive training and articulation sessions with unions, civil society and companies in this jurisdiction in the Ica region, in order to strengthen the decentralization process of the National Action Plan on Companies and Human Rights (NAP) 2021 – 2025.
The National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct participated on August 23 and 24, during the dialogue presentation «Responsible Business Conduct and Due Diligence in Human Rights, international framework and NAP 2021-2025, as well as in the group exercise: «Main regional problems to be addressed through actions of the NAP 2021-2025», both by Alexander Salvador. On August 24, they National Contact Point participated in the NAP multi-stakeholder table.
The NAP, approved by Supreme Decree 009-2021-JUS, seeks to guarantee the protection and respect for human rights in all business activities in the country, as well as remediation mechanisms in cases of violations, incorporating international standards on this matter, particularly the United Nations Guiding Principles and responsible business conduct.
